Killgerm, the leaders in Pest Management, have recently been awarded with ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). This adds to Killgerm’s Quality Management System (QMS), ISO9001 which was achieved many years ago.
Over the last nine months there has been intense internal activity to align Killgerm’s existing EMS with the International ISO14001 Standard. The system was verified as being compliant with the Standard in June 2017, by an organisation which is itself accredited by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The registration confirms that Killgerm has the capability to control the potential adverse environmental effects of its business activities and enhance its environmental performance.
A significant element in the control arrangements has been achieved via Killgerm’s rigorous customer training sessions and stewardship policies. This gives sound advice to customers on pest control product use and environmental protection. In addition, Killgerm’s Waste Disposal Scheme is a responsible way for customers to dispose of unused products, and wastes arising from pest control activities, thereby reducing the risk of environmental harm.
Philip Dalgliesh, Killgerm Company Chemist, commented, “We are proud to be recognised for all of our environmental hard work and to be awarded with this ISO 14001 is a great honour. We take our environmental responsibilities extremely seriously and they form an essential part of our product support and customer training activities.”
