On Sunday 3rd April runners pulled on their running trainers in order to run the Wakefield 10k raising money for Wakefield Hospice.
Amongst the 2,000 runners were 12 employees from both Killgerm and PestWest sponsored by Killgerm Group.
“We are very supportive of our employees who enjoy participating in fitness activities in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and we like to help local charities when we can,” said Sabra Everett, Killgerm Group Marketing and Public Affairs Director, who was one of the 12 employees. “The 10k run was the perfect event that tied the two together and it was for a fantastic charity.”
The road run started at Thornes Park and continued along the A642 for 5 kilometres. The participants commented on the tough terrain with plenty of uphill challenges; particularly at the half way point and the stride to the finish line.
Huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the event and for raising money and awareness for Wakefield Hospice.
