Licences for bird control – 2013 update

As the new-year has now begun, the pest management industry needs to be up to date with the latest General Licences and Class Licences issued by Natural England. Pest Controllers in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland also need to check the current licences with their relevant government departments. When licences are renewed on the 1st January each year, changes may be made to the terms and conditions or to the accompanying advice. You are therefore advised to read the latest version of any licence you intend to use before you use it for the first time each calendar year.

The English Licences remain largely the same as they were in 2012. The only changes are to the ‘To take certain birds trapped in food premises to preserve public health or public safety WML-CL03′ licence’ – see below.
